AI Won't Kill Your Business But This Might

Is AI really the biggest threat to your business?

AI won't kill your business.

Your competitors might.

That's the biggest takeaway from our recent Entry & Exit podcast episode.

As AI becomes more capable, many business owners are asking the wrong question. They worry about whether AI will replace their industry. In reality, the greater threat is falling behind competitors who learn to use it first.

Think about contractors who refused to invest in marketing a decade ago.

While everyone else embraced Google Ads, digital marketing, and outside sales, they kept relying on referrals. Their businesses didn't disappear overnight. They slowly became less competitive.

AI is creating that same shift today. (here’s an example of how to stay ahead of the shift)

The companies that thrive won't necessarily have the biggest teams. They'll be the ones that use AI to operate more efficiently, improve customer service, automate repetitive work, and make smarter decisions faster than everyone else.

The good news is that independent businesses still have an advantage. You can adopt new tools and change direction much faster than large organizations burdened by layers of approvals and complex systems.

The hardest part is getting started. You have to take the first step.

Open an AI tool, bring it a real business problem, and start experimenting. Whether it's generating more leads, reducing employee turnover, automating follow-up, or improving operations, the fastest way to understand AI is to use it.

The businesses that make AI part of how they operate today will have a significant advantage tomorrow.

Build it. Scale it. Sell it.
