AI probably isn’t ready to replace your employees.
But it can make your existing employees a lot more productive.
That’s how we’ve approached AI at Alarm Masters. We started small, using tools like ChatGPT to write emails, research questions, and handle basic tasks.

Then we started building.
One of our first real applications was an internal AI tool that gave sales reps answers to basic technical and product questions. Instead of tracking down a technician or someone in operations, they could get an answer immediately.
Today, we’re taking that much further.
In a recent episode of the Entry & Exit podcast, we break down how we went from basic AI tools to building agents that are handling real workflows inside the business.
One of the best examples is Eddie, our estimation agent.
We recently gave Eddie a set of architectural drawings for a church. It reviewed the plans, referenced NFPA 72, counted doors, handled calculations, built a bill of materials using our preferred manufacturer, applied our margin profiles, and pushed a formatted quote into Salesforce.
A process that previously required multiple people and could take several days was completed in about five minutes.
That doesn’t mean we don’t need an estimator.
It means our estimator can spend less time on repetitive work and more time value engineering solutions, improving bids, and winning projects.
And you don’t need to start by building something this advanced.
Pick one bottleneck in your company. Give AI the right information and guardrails. Get that workflow working. Then move to the next one.
The goal isn’t to replace your best people with AI. It’s to remove the work keeping your best people from doing their highest-value work.
